The 'Uniting in Action' IEEPO virtual event was held on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th March

Hosted virtually and continuing on the theme of 'Humanising Healthcare', the event shifted focus towards three core themes stemming from our IEEPO Position Paper: putting people at the heart of healthcare, prioritising diversity, equity & inclusion, and power of patient data & healthcare digitalisation.

We discussed how to:

1. Establish what value means for patients and the role we can all play in contributing to better outcomes through Humanising Healthcare 

2. Exchange discussion, learnings and opportunities with the patient community, hearing actionable case studies for creating positive action on the ground

3. Evolve multi-stakeholder relationships for greater collaboration and engage in discussions for Humanising Healthcare at a local level and beyond

Notable agenda items for the event included Action Spotlight sessions that showcased inspiring case studies by the patient communities and the Practical Perspectives Panel, which featured multi-stakeholder discussions from world-renowned speakers.

 

Thursday 16^th March, 08.30-11.40 CET /16.30-19.40 CET

The second day of the event featured the much awaited chat between Severin Schwan, Chairman, Roche Board of Directors and Thomas Schinecker, designated CEO Roche Group. Participants also had the opportunity to submit questions to the pair within the live Q&A session. The event closed with interactive Action Hour Roundtables that gave attendees an opportunity to learn from their peers across the globe.
