Karibu! Let’s explore the challenges facing patient communities and health systems in Africa
Our regional workshop was held on 11–12 September, 2025 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Africa workshop brought together 24 participants (patient advocates and public health representatives) from 11 African countries to discuss the following key topics impacting patient care in the region:
- • Universal health coverage (UHC)
- • Domestic health financing – with a focus on strengthening the role of patient organisations in shaping sustainable healthcare systems
